On 23^rd May 2012 Eliminator Match between CSK vs MI will decided who gets eliminated and who gets to play with looser of qualifier.

on 25th May 2012 looser of qualifiers meets the winner of eliminator to decide the second finalist.

 

27th May 2012 is Grand Final.

 

this kind of playoff is arrange to ensure that the teams coming at no 1 and 2 gets more chance to qualify for final. which is fair .

Match 62 RCB vs  MI : Clash of titans once again. RCB is favorite. MI looks vunrable to pressure.

Match 63 KKR vs  CSK : KKR would not like CSK to win and want to reach top of the table. So CSK expect a tough match.

Match 60 RR vs PWI:

1.   Ganguly lead the team again

2.   Rahane Watson fires again

3.   PWI never gets going

4.   Chandila took hat-trick and did the trick.

Conclusion: PWI lost the motivation and lost everything. RR inches closer to play off.

Match 61 KXP vs DC:

1.   DC batted well by reaching 190

2.   Dhawan made 71

3.   Creg white made 67

4.   KXP has all the motivation to win the game and they did it with the help of Hussey and Gurkeerat singh

5.   Good to see local talent playing their role for teams

Conclusion: MI looks week still and depend on few star players to bat and for bowling entirely dependent on Malinga.

1.   Rohit Made 109 of 60 balls

2.   Gibbs made 66

3.   Third highest was 2 runs made by Sachin, he can relax, there are other batsman taking charge

4.   Saqib bowled well, he needs to be utilized better

5.   KKR starts bad but kallis and Pathan utilized chance and batted full, good strategy to keep the run rate in control

6.   As usual malinga was the star

1.   DD made 114

2.   Lower order batsman gets some practice

3.   Hifenhaus really bowled well

4.   CSK is more motivated to win

5.   CSK Chased well

Conclusion: DD is in and CSK is to make so expect DD to relax a bit.

Match 58 KKR vs MI: KKR starts favorite but MI is rising fast. Interesting match is the on card today.

Match 59 CSK vs DD: CSK is placed 5^th and they want to travel to play off. Great opportunity for them, but the kind of form DD in, it would not be easy.

Match 57 PWI vs RCB : 173 from RCB proved too much for PWI as they lost match by 35 runs.

1.      Ganguly did not captain or play from PWI

2.      Steve smith led the PWI

3.      Gayle fires once again

4.      No impactful performance from PWI

CLT20 set to have team from Pakistan

The Champions League Twenty20 is set to have a team from Pakistan for the first time. The BCCI has said it will recommend to the tournament's governing council, which is scheduled to meet on May 28, that it had no objection to a team from Pakistan participating.

"The Working Committee has decided to invite a team from Pakistan to play in Champions League Twenty20 to be held in October," N Srinivasan, the BCCI president, said after the board's working committee meeting in Chennai. "CLT20 is owned by BCCI, Cricket Australia, and Cricket South Africa. So we will recommend to the Governing Council that the BCCI has no objection and is prepared to invite a Pakistan team in the Champions League.

"CLT20 will be played in India. As far as inviting a Pakistani team is concerned, it will be done by the Governing Council. The BCCI will make the recommendation to the Governing Council which will decide on the matter.

Sourav Ganguly's Career as player is over

Ganguly’s last 3-4 years as cricketer can be best forgotten but his 5 years of captainship can never be forgotten as he made the youngster believe in victory from any situation. Team India achieved lots of glorious moment under his leadership and there was many occasion when we feel proud of being Indian.

Ganguly can contribute to cricket in many roles and I wish him all the best.

Match 55  DC vs DD – DC :with batting line up such Virendra, David Warner, Jayawardhne, Rose Taylor. DD looks a team that is going to win the IPL5, unless everything fails in final. Fantastic innings by warner and consolation to DC for scoring 180+. Better luck in IPL6.

Match 56  RR vs CSK :CSK survived to win the low scoring match and reach top 4 in table. All CSK fans are quiet but there is storm inside as their team might reach playoff.

Match 54 MI vs RCB: Gayle is proving to be real value for money for RCB and since Virat has taken over captaincy, fortune seems to have changed for the team.

2.   Sachin started fight back but it short lived

3.   Dinesh Karthik and Raydu give some stability to middle order

4.   Pollard and Harbhajan took score to 141 in 20 overs
